Linden Lab mainland advertising ban kicks in

Linden Lab have provided an update on their recent clamp down on mainland advertising in Second Life.

Now that we’re seeing less advertising, is it time for some social behaviour change? Would it hurt to have some positive health messages advertised around the grid? I’d love to hear your thought – what messages would you like to promote if widespread non-profit advertising were allowed?

I’d like to see SL land owners promote planting of trees in RL, by planting of trees on their SL properties. Linden 1-prim trees are one of the best things going, and they pump oxygen into SL just as surely as RL trees help us to breathe. Plant a tree on that 16m square! You’ve still got 2 prims left over for a promotional message for an environmental non-profit group.

…also sometime after midnight OS regions traffic count was reset to ZERO – I paid for that function ! Another “screw you OS land owners!!!”
